In this workshop you will create a single candlestick holder or set of candlestick holders using various handbuilding techniques. These can be as traditional or sculptural as you like, and you will be encouraged to have fun and be creative in your designs. The teacher will be there to help you as you work and give you the right tools and techniques to achieve your vision.

Your candlestick holders will then be fired, and you can come back in to glaze them yourself, or the teacher can glaze them for you. After a second firing, they will be ready to collect.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

Materials

Bisque firing - this is the initial firing of your piece that will make it ready to glaze.

Glazing - you can either come in and glaze your work yourself OR your instructor can glaze it for you. These options will be discussed in class.

WHAT TO BRING

Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy in!
